Anthony Blass

CEO, ShiftRunner; Chairman, Pandoo Foundation

ShiftRunner founder responsible for setting the strategic and financial direction of the company establishing and developing its organizational structure, cultivating and motivating the senior management team, raising capital and liaising with the Board. Ensures proper information flows between all stakeholders, represents the Company to the community and to the media, formulates budgetary and human capital policies, provides leadership and oversight of operations and implementation plans, assists in the selection and evaluation of board members. Provides leadership toward the realization of the organization’s annual and long-term goals, with ultimate ownership of its mission, philosophy and strategy.

A dynamic leader with a proven ability to identify market opportunities, assemble high-performing, high-integrity management teams from scratch and build successful businesses, Anthony Blass has enjoyed a diverse 19-year professional career in Asia. A highly prepared, meticulous executive with expert communications skills and strong business and organizational instincts, Anthony is the founder of two technology companies in Hong Kong, including one that achieved an IPO via merger on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The other, I-Quest Corporation, was approved to list on the HKSE. He is the former Group Managing Director for SkyNetGlobal Limited, an Australian-listed wireless Internet company that achieved an IPO on the London Stock Exchange during his tenure. He has raised more than US$23 million in venture capital for his companies and has twice seen his companies achieve US$1 million in revenue during their first year of commercial operations. A former Dow Jones correspondent in Asia and the former editor and publisher of Boss Magazine in Hong Kong, Anthony has won numerous awards for reporting, commentary and photography. He has also published poetry and short fiction. He earned his master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York City. He was nominated by the university and won a Henry Luce Fellowship, which brought him to Asia in 1992. He is a graduate of the Falcon (Chinese) Program at Cornell University.


François Perreault

Executive Director, ShiftRunner; Executive Director/President, Pandoo Foundation

Francois Perreault is co-founder, executive director and investor in ShiftRunner, involved in the strategic and daily operation of the organization. He is also president of PANDOO Foundation, ensuring strategic alignment between the non-profit sister company and ShiftRunner's commercial objectives. He is the principal spokesperson, advocate and architect of PANDOO Foundation's global initiatives, including its strategic partnerships, its global expansion (Singapore 2013; Philippines 2014; Canada & USA 2017; Australia 2018), and the implementation of its educational programs and development projects.

Professional and academic summary:
A scholar, social advocate, political analyst and writer, François Perreault is a natural leader with strong commercial instincts, a track record of professional successes in international settings and a demonstrated commitment to social enterprises. Before joining ShiftRunner, he was a research associate at the Canada Research Chair in Canadian Foreign and Defense Policy. He served as a visiting scholar in Singapore at the Center for Multilateralism Studies at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), a top-50 global think tank. He worked for the Canadian Government in a variety of roles, including a progressive rural outreach program that served disadvantaged outlying areas. He has a dual degree in marketing from La Cite Collegiale in Ottawa and the Universite Jean Monnet in France, an undergraduate degree in international relations from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Montreal. He also coaches youth hockey in Singapore and serves as a director for IT Matters, a corporate foundation in Cebu, Philippines, that assists street children. He received several prestigious fellowships and other academic honors, including a graduate studies fellowship from the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.


Aroon Tan

Chief Technology Officer

One of Singapore’s most respected thought leaders in online game design, responsible for the development and completion of PANDOO Nation v1.0. Leads all communications with Leeds-based game producers, Dubit, and oversees storyboarding and execution of PANDOO Nation v2.0. Prominent role in the presentation of game development updates and manager of online strategy. Provides technical support for marketing communications.

Professional and academic summary:
Australian-born Aroon Tan brings to ShiftRunner 23 years of specialized experience in the field of “virtual worlds,” a highly immersive subset of the gaming world that is particularly popular with preteens. A recognized thought leader among game developers, Mr. Tan served for six years as the president of the Games Exchange Alliance in Singapore. He has led several game development ventures since 1993, serving as CEO of Massive Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) developer Paraworld in 2000 and, later, was appointed CEO (Asia Pacific) of 10TACLE STUDIOS AG in 2004, following the partnership of his own digital enterprise company, Interactive Digital Dreams (IDD) with the European game developer. An innovator and entrepreneur by nature, Mr. Tan capitalized on his visualization expertise and, in 2005, formed Magma Studios. Among other things, Magma Studios won the contract to create Disney Channel Asia’s flagship television series – “Guardians.” It also created the Massively Multiplayer Online Game World of Paddle Pop and “Max Dash”, a popular endless runner game that has found instant success with over 1.5 million new users in less than 12 months.


Robert Martini

Director of Finance

Responsible for monitoring the financial position of the entire organization, and constantly seeking ways to improve its fiscal health. Works closely with the CEO on all budgetary matters, as well as capital generation processes. Helps the CEO determine capital expenditure priorities and ensures that all significant capital expenditures include ROI success metrics. Helps establish financial success measures throughout the organization to ensure an efficient and realistic growth trajectory. Responsible for ensuring that all accounting and regulatory requirements are followed. Helps ensure the sustainability of the micro lending process in which the organization’s not-for-profit sister company is involved. Is an integral part of formulating and managing the company policies concerning capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, compensation and acquisitions.

Professional and academic summary:
A high achiever by nature, Rob Martini grew up near Toronto, Canada, and attended Niagara University in upstate New York, on a four-year ice hockey scholarship, where he was the captain of the NCAA Division 1 hockey team in his senior season. He earned a bachelors degree in economics with minors in finance and pre-law. He graduated with a 4.17 GPA, Summa Cum Laude, and earned Conference All-Academic Honors in each of his four years. He was named the Top Economics Student in his graduating class and earned Dean’s List in all eight semesters. In addition to his academic and athletic achievements, he was the community service coordinator for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, working with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and other community outreach groups. He received the 2012 Atlantic Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year Award. He passed Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam in June 2015. Rob speaks French.


Sam Goodwin

Manager, Marketing & Social Media

Responsible for conceiving and implementing a global communications strategy via digital, electronic and Internet-based applications to encourage the creation and exchange of user-generated content. Serves as a marketing and promotional conduit between the sales force and website consumers. Facilitates the reporting of key commercial events, corporate milestones and other achievements via social media channels. Creatively applies these techniques to foster interaction, education, engagement and discussion regarding the company’s products and developments through the use of online communities. Relies on social media to establish the company as a thought leader at the vanguard of social enterprise.

Professional and academic summary:
Raised in St. Louis, Sam Goodwin attended Niagara University in upstate New York as a student-athlete on a full four-year ice hockey scholarship. He earned dual Bachelors degrees in Communication Studies and French, with a minor in International Business. Despite his full-time athletic commitment, he graduated with a 3.60 GPA, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. He earned Conference All-Academic Honors in each of his four years. His studies included intensive social media coursework and related exposure to various social media channels. In addition to his academic and athletic achievements, Sam has been active in international outreach efforts, working with poor and disenfranchised people on three continents. For these efforts and others, he was nominated for the 2012 College Hockey Humanitarian Award.


Natalie Doran

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER 

An experienced writer and event organizer, Ms. Doran is responsible for creating ShiftRunner marketing materials and news releases. Ms. Doran acts as a liaison for project managers and partner organizations, responsible for maximizing marketing opportunities and optimizing collaboration. In addition to her corporate communications role, Ms. Doran also serves as lead creative manager responsible for PANDOO Nation story development and character profiles, working closely with the CTO on website design, construction and content management. She reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Ms. Doran has professional experience in Singapore with the American Chamber of Commerce and Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. Ms. Doran is an English Literature graduate at the University of Birmingham, UK, where she was active in coordinating fundraisers and founded the council for university-related charitable causes. Ms. Doran also played university basketball, securing full corporate sponsorship for the team.
